BakBone's NetVault FASTRecover: We attended a presentation by BakBone at the East Bay Cisco Users Group last week. What amazed us is the FAST Recover technology can recover an Exchange database within 30 seconds.
The demo went well and according to NetVault, the technology is a disk-based, real-time data protection that eliminates backup windows for Exchange, SQL Server and Windows File Servers. We saw in the demonstration, the Virtual On-Demand Recovery component makes these applications and data available for use in as little as 30-seconds. Users can access the recovered Exchange, SQL Server or Windows file system data as soon as a brief recovery setup phase has been completed, without waiting for the full recovery to complete.
